PSV, Twente and Ajax win, AZ draw

Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven maintained their title charge with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Feyenoord.

Zakaria Labyad scored an 85th-minute winner for PSV after Guyon Fernandez had netted twice in eight minutes to bring Feyenoord back from 2-0 down at the Philips Stadion.

Ola Toivonen earlier put the hosts in front a minute before the break and Dries Mertens doubled their advantage midway through the second half.

AZ Alkmaar, meanwhile, had to settle for a 3-3 home draw against Heerenveen

Jozy Altidore struck twice as AZ twice went ahead, but Filip Djuricic and Bas Dost got the visitors back on level terms before Luciano Narsingh put them ahead nine minutes from time. However, Erik Falkenburg equalised two minutes later to secure a draw for AZ which left them two points behind PSV.

Elsewhere, Luuk de Jong scored the only goal of the game for third-placed FC Twente as Steve McClaren's side continued their title challenge with a 1-0 triumph over FC Utrecht.

A brace from Siem de Jong helped Ajax see off to a 4-1 win at rock-bottom Excelsior as the Amsterdammers maintained their push for Champions League football next season.

Aras Ozbiliz put the champions ahead in the 22nd minute and De Jong added a second on the stroke of half-time.

But Excelsior, who had already missed a penalty and had another appeal perhaps harshly deemed to be a dive, got a goal back from Jurgen Mattheij and put Frank de Boer's side under pressure before De Jong's second and a late strike from Jan Vertonghen gave Ajax a flattering final scoreline.
