Cruyff sure over Guardiola decision
Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff says he is sure that manager Pep Guardiola won't leave the club without revealing his plans for the future first.
Guardiola's current contract expires at the end of the season and has openly expressed doubts over whether he has the desire to stay on at such a 'demanding club'. However, Cruyff, who led Barca to great success in the early 1990s and built what became known 'The Dream Team', is confident that the Spaniard will make up his mind soon.
"Guardiola played for Barcelona and is now coach. He's a real club man and will not leave them in a lurch," Cruyff told EFE. "He will not wait two months before announcing his decision. If he did not have any doubts about his future, he would already have made a decision."
While Barcelona have slipped behind Real Madrid in the league this season, Guardiola has already led the club to 13 trophies - including two Champions League crowns, three La Liga titles and two Club World Cups - since replacing Frank Rijkaard ahead of the 2008-09 season.
