Stoke City have confirmed that they have appealed following Rory Delap's red card in the FA Cup victory over Crawley Town.
Tony Pulis 'really irked' by ref decisions
Delap was dismissed for an early challenge on David Hunt, and manager Tony Pulis had said after the game that he was unhappy with the decision.
"There is a big problem within the game in that I think professional people and referees are so far apart in what they see in terms of what are fair challenges or competitive challenges and the bad, reckless challenges," Pulis said.
Stoke have now confirmed on their official website that, after studying footage of the incident, they will appeal against the three-match suspension, which would keep Delap out of the Premier League games against Swansea, Norwich and Chelsea.
