Udinese centre-back Mehdi Benatia has revealed he is flattered to be linked with a move to Manchester United.
Benatia, 24, is thought to be valued at around £10 million. He began his career at Marseille but failed to make the grade and played lower league French football with Tours and Clermont Foot before being signed by Udinese.
The defender made 34 starts for Udinese last season as they booked a Champions League play-off place, before they were knocked out by Arsenal in August.
The Morocco international, recently back from the African Nations Cup, was quoted as saying by The Sun: "To be linked with Manchester United is a dream come true.
"They are the biggest club in the world, and to have an opportunity to play at Old Trafford would be amazing, believe me.
"But I have a contract with Udinese, and they have to be happy before I can move."
