Tigers take top spot

Tigres Monterey lead the Mexican Clausura on goal difference from Santos Laguna following a 2-0 win away to San Luis with goals from Israel Jiminez and Lucas Lobos.

Jackson Martinez scored twice and Franco Arizala netted a third as Jaguares beat Queretaro 3-0, the visitors having German Alemanno sent off late in the game.

Monterey were 2-0 winners against Guadalajara with goals from Aldo De Nigirs and Angel Reyna.

Ivan Alonso scored both goals for Toluca as they won 2-0 at Atlante and Pachuca triumphed by the same score at home to Estudiantes Tecos courtesy of goals from Daniel Arreola and Mauro Cejas as the visitors also had Rubens Sambueza sent off late in the game.

Hugo Rodrigues scored for Atlas in the 1-1 draw with Club America who replied through Paul Aguilar.
