Hiddink unlikely to take England job

Guus Hiddink's agent suggests the Dutchman is unlikely to be given the England job due to his relationship with John Terry.

• Levy awaits Redknapp responses
• Capello resigns as England boss
• Pardew: England job not for me

Hiddink developed a "strong personal relationship" with Terry during his spell as Chelsea manager during the 2008-09 season and, as the removal of the defender's captaincy sparked the row that led to Fabio Capello's resignation, agent Cees van Nieuwenhuizen is dubious as to whether he would be considered.

"I don't, based on previous conversations with England FA board members, imagine that it would work," he told the Daily Telegraph. "Guus also has a very strong personal relationship with John Terry and would be on his side in all this."

It appears the 65-year-old - who has extensive experience as a national coach after spells with Netherlands, South Korea, Australia, Russia and Turkey - would also reject the chance to take on the role short-term.

"He's not done that in the past and had always previously also been involved in qualification," Van Nieuwenhuizen added.
