Lewandowski cools talk of Bayern move

Borussia Dortmund hotshot Robert Lewandowski insists he has no desire to join Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich, amid speculation linking him with a switch to the Bavarians.

Lewandowski, 23, joined Dortmund from Lech Poznan in June 2010 and helped the Westphalian outfit win the Bundesliga title last year, though he was mainly used as a substitute.

This season he has emerged as Jurgen Klopp's first-choice striker, scoring 14 goals in 20 games to lead Dortmund to the top of the table.

The Poland striker's fine form has reportedly attracted the attention of fellow title challengers Bayern, who have been tipped to make a bid for him in the summer.

However, Lewandowski has rejected the suggestion that he would coinsider a move away from Dortmund, insisting he is desperate to stay with the reigning Bundesliga champions.

"I do not want to hear anything like this. There is no way I could imagine leaving Dortmund,"he told kicker. "I am a player of the reigning Bundesliga champions, why should I move to Bayern?"

Moreover, Lewandowski said he would be keen to sign a new contract with Dortmund, despite his current deal not expiring for another two-and-a-half years.

"I am under contract until June 2014," he added. "At first I need to receive a signal from the club, then I would think my situation over. I would not rule out [signing a new contract]."
