Arsenal captain Robin Van Persie has escaped punishment for his clash with Aston Villa defender Carlos Cuellar during the sides' FA Cup fourth-round tie on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has been charged with violent conduct following his kicking out at Brighton's Adam El-Abd.
According to the Football Association, referee Mike Jones reported he had seen the incident at the Emirates but Cabaye's clash with El-Abd was not picked up by official Lee Probert.
Two Van Persie penalties either side of a fortuitous Theo Walcott goal helped the Gunners erase first-half goals from Richard Dunne and Darren Bent and set up a last-16 meeting with Sunderland or Middlesbrough.
An FA statement said about Cabaye: "Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has been charged with violent conduct following an incident in the FA Cup fourth round tie against Brighton Hove Albion.
"Cabaye was involved in an incident involving Brighton's Adam El-Abd during the FA Cup tie at the Amex Stadium on Saturday 28 January.
"Cabaye has until 6pm on Tuesday, January 31 2012 to respond to the charge.''
