Juventus striker Amauri has joined Fiorentina on loan for the rest of the season, where he will see his contract with the Turin club run down.
Amauri, 31, has not played at all in 2011-12 for the club and has been told he is not part of coach Antonio Conte's plans after spending the second half of last season on loan at Parma.
Having sold Alberto Gilardino to Genoa earlier this month, La Viola were keen to strengthen their forward line and confirmed the news on their website.
"Fiorentina announces that it has acquired from Juventus, on a temporary basis, the services of the forward Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira," a statement read.
The Italy international was born in Brazil and has managed just 17 goals in 71 appearances for Juve since joining from Palermo in 2008.
