Real Madrid legend Alfredo Di Stefano believes the club's supporters are right to jeer Cristiano Ronaldo.
Despite scoring 21 La Liga goals in 17 appearances this season, Ronaldo came in for criticism at the Bernabeu during Saturday's 5-1 victory over Granada.
Ronaldo, whose performance in December 3-1 El Clasico loss against Barcelona was also criticised, scored the final goal versus Granada but opted not to celebrate, seemingly in protest of the jeering.
His reaction has led to suggestions the Portugal international is unsettled at the Spanish table-toppers, but Di Stefano has called on Ronaldo to accept the fans' actions.
"The whistles against Cristiano Ronaldo? The people in the crowd are the ones who pay, and they are always right," Di Stefano told Agencia Atlas.
"If the spectators demand from the players that they do their utmost and score goals, the players shouldn't question this. The fans are always right. If they whistle or jeer someone, it's because they want him to be effective."
