Van den Brink nearing return for Glory

Perth Glory defender Bas van den Brink believes he'll be fit to return from a hamstring injury against the Melbourne Heart in Sunday's A-League clash at AAMI Park.

Van den Brink has missed the past two games for the Glory but is confident he can take the field against the Heart.

"I've been training with the team again, so my hamstring is back to normal," the Dutchman said.

"That's why I've been doing a lot of work at the beginning of the week, and I have also been training with the group just to get my confidence up.

"I've also had a lot of testing with our physios to check whether my hamstring is okay."

Van den Brink's return will be a boost for the Glory ahead of back-to-back road fixtures starting with the Heart match on Sunday and then a rescheduled match against Sydney FC in Campbelltown on Wednesday.

"I think we've showed through the last three games that we're turning around the season a bit. That's my feeling about it," van den Brink said.

"It's important to get good results and I'm excited about the games."
