Valencia reached the quarter-finals of the Copa Del Rey after an away-goals victory against fellow Primera Division outfit Sevilla.
Los Che lost 2-1 on the night but their goal - scored by Roberto Soldado after 66 minutes - proved sufficient to see them into the next round following their 1-0 win in the first leg.
Soldado's strike left Sevilla needing to score three times to progress, and although they got to within touching distance thanks to a Ivan Rakitic strike on 70 minutes and Victor Ruiz's injury-time own goal, the visitors held on.
Espanyol were made to battle all the way before seeing off second-tier Cordoba 5-4 on aggregate.
Alvaro was the hero for the hosts as his hat-trick saw the Primera Division overturn a 2-1 first-leg deficit with a 4-2 win this evening.
Alvaro's brace had the hosts 2-0 up inside 21 minutes before Didac Vila made it three after 36 minutes.
Cordoba fought back, however, with goals from Alberto Aguilar (40) and Pepe Diaz (49) putting them on course to progress on away goals before Alvaro popped up with his third two minutes from full-time to spare Espanyol's blushes.
Levante also overturned a 2-1 first-leg deficit as they saw off Alcorcon 4-0 for a 5-2 aggregate win thanks to goals by Jose Barkero (23), Roger Marti (45), Vicente Iborra (52) and Ruben Suarez (66).
