Cisse: A return to football possible

PSG want cut-price Honda deal

Ligue 1 leaders PSG are believed to be preparing a €13 million bid for CSKA Moscow star Keisuke Honda, despite being told last summer that he is valued at €25 million.

After missing out on LA Galaxy's David Beckham, PSG sporting director Leonardo and new boss Carlo Ancelotti have been looking for midfield alternatives and appear to believe Honda will fit the bill.

Japanese daily Sports Nippon quoted PSG sources as claiming the Parisians have already contacted CSKA about the Blue Samurai playmaker, who has been on the radar of a number of Europe's big clubs for some time.

However, PSG - among the wealthiest clubs in Europe with Qatar Sports Investments as their owners - are reportedly only willing to part with €13 million for Honda, who they tried to sign ahead of the 2011-12 season.

PSG were rebuffed by CSKA then and refused to pay the asking price of €25 million, but now believe the Russian side may be more willing to listen to lower offers, as Honda's contract expires next January.

The likes of Juventus, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United have all previously been linked with Honda, who is a superstar in Japan having helped his country to the second round of the World Cup in 2010 and the Asian Cup title last year.
