Cissokho happy at Lyon

Newcastle United transfer target Aly Cissokho has cooled talk that he will be heading for the Premier League during the January transfer window.

• Pardew will not replace Demba Ba

Lyon defender Cissokho was linked with a move away from Ligue 1 during the summer and has once again been heavily tipped to exit the Stade Gerland in the January transfer window.

However, the 24-year-old, who has featured in all 19 of Lyon's league games so far this season, has revealed there have been no concrete offers as yet.

"I will talk with the technical staff this week. Since the last transfer market there have been a lot of rumours, but I haven't taken any notice," Cissokho told L'Equipe. "There is nothing concrete so far."

The former Porto full-back added: "I am in the starting XI of a club that plays in the Champions League, with a coach that trusts me. I am not in a situation where I don't play."
