Ronaldinho is to remain at Flamengo next year after an agreement was reached between his club and management company.
Ronaldinho, who signed in January from AC Milan, had been linked with various clubs including LA Galaxy, Paris St Germain and Panathinaikos after he went without pay for five months.
However, Ronaldinho was reluctant to move on and the club have now reached an agreement with Traffic to ensure he will receive his back-pay and stay put for the coming year.
"It is a gift from Santa Claus to give back to the fans," Flamengo vice-president of finance Michel Levy said in AS. "It is a very happy day for us. We worked hard and finally reached an agreement."
Traffic executive director Fernando Goncalves added: "Everything has been verbally agreed. We'll put it on paper soon."
