Geoff Cameron out two weeks for Stoke with injury - Mark Hughes

Geoff Cameron will miss Stoke's next two games in the Premier League because of a right hamstring injury, Stoke manager Mark Hughes has confirmed.

The U.S. international will not be able to play against Newcastle on Saturday and Chelsea the following weekend.

"Geoff's not available," Hughes told Stoke's website. "He will most likely be back after the Chelsea game I would think, which is a shame because he's had a bright start to the season.

Cameron pulled up in the final seconds of the first half in Stoke's 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Saturday, and was replaced by Bruno Martins Indi at half-time.

He should be able to return in time to face Southampton on Sept. 30 before returning to the U.S. for the next international break.

With World Cup qualification far from certain, the U.S. hosts Panama on Oct. 6 before traveling to Trinidad and Tobago four days later.

Cameron, 32, started in the Americans' World Cup qualifying defeat to Costa Rica last week and came on as a sub in the draw at Honduras.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
