Manchester United boss David Moyes admitted he hopes to one day work with Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo was linked with a move back to Old Trafford at the end of last season as speculation rose that the ‘unhappy’ 28-year-old could leave the Spanish capital.
But the move never came to fruition and Ronaldo, who recently signed a five-year extension at the Bernabeu, is back to his best, topping the scoring charts in both La Liga and the Champions League.
But after watching Ronaldo sweep Portugal into the World Cup finals by scoring a stunning hat-trick against Sweden last week, Moyes still holds onto hope he will one day be able to call on Ronaldo’s services.
“Everyone at Manchester United would tell you he is the best in the business anyway,” Moyes told MUTV.
“I have not been fortunate enough to work with him but there is still hope someday it might be possible.”
