Zubizarreta: Tello better than Ronaldo

Andoni Zubizarreta has declared that any Barcelona player is better than Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo - even young striker Cristian Tello.

Barcelona rallied back after going a goal down against Real Valladolid
Andoni Zubizarreta has declared ever Barcelona player is better than Cristiano Ronaldo.

• Ledwith: Messi back to best

The Spanish champion's director of football continued the debate of the world’s greatest player after Barcelona continued their undefeated start to the season with a 3-1 defeat of AC Milan in the Champions League.

"In this game, we saw (Lionel) Messi's character, he is working so good and knows that he has our confidence," Zubizarreta told Spanish TV station Canal +.

"Messi is the best of the world but, for me, Tello is even better than Cristiano, any FC Barcelona player is better for me."

Meanwhile, Zubizarreta believes Gerardo Martino has quickly adapted to life at the Nou Camp after joining club before the start of the season.

"We know where we are going with him," added Zubizarreta. "We will be still playing with our own style.

"At Barcelona to win is not just okay, we have also to play well. This is what this jersey means. Martino knows it and he is adapting very well."
