Cristiano Ronaldo will start scoring goals for Real Madrid soon - Benitez

Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez has said he believes Cristiano Ronaldo will soon be back in the goal-scoring routine.

Portugal captain Ronaldo failed to score in his side's first two La Liga games of the season after striking 61 times in all competitions last season.

That brings his run to seven games without a goal -- five for Real and two for his country.

But Benitez told his news conference on Friday: "With his quality, I'm sure he will score many goals."

Madrid travel to Espanyol on Saturday, when Keylor Mavas could become the first Real goalkeeper since 1975 to keep clean sheets in his opening three league games.

Navas had been linked with a move to Manchester United as part of the collapsed David De Gea deal, and Benitez said: "Keylor knows the confidence I have in him, and he is calm and motivated.

"He had fantastic training session yesterday and made three or four great saves, so he hasn't been affected [by the speculation that had surrounded his future]."
