Sergio Ramos, Xabi Alonso, Di Maria, Cristiano Ronaldo in team of 2014

Four members of Real Madrid's Champions League-winning side have been named in L'Equipe's team of 2014.

Defender Sergio Ramos, midfielders Xabi Alonso and Angel Di Maria, who has signed left Los Blancos for Manchester United, and forward Cristiano Ronaldo were all part of the XI selected by the French sports daily.

Carlo Ancelotti's side overcame Liga rivals Atletico Madrid in Lisbon, triumphing 4-1 after a late Ramos equaliser sent the game into extra time.

Toni Kroos, who signed for Real from Bayern Munich in the summer, was also recognised for his performances over the last 12 months.

Kroos was among three other Germany internationals named following their 2014 World Cup glory in Brazil, including goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who was named as the newspaper's No. 1 player.
