Pep Guardiola says he has no intention of coaching Barcelona again

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has told a Catalan newspaper that he has no intention of coaching Barcelona again.

After a playing career that included 11 years at the Camp Nou, Guardiola guided Barcelona to three straight La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues during four seasons in charge from 2008 until 2012.

He then resigned, citing fatigue, and took a year off before taking over at Bayern last summer and guiding them to the Bundesliga crown.

Guardiola's legendary status at Barcelona has led many fans to wonder whether the 43-year-old would ever return, but he told Ara, "In principle, I've no intention of ever coaching Barca again.

"I think that there are cycles in life and that mine [at Barcelona] is finished."

However, Guardiola did say he would like to return to live in the Catalan capital, where his wife Cristina still resides, one day.

"My wife works here and the idea is to come back here to live at some point. When? I've no idea," he added.
