Bayern Munich sporting director Matthias Sammer has told Germany's Sky Sports that speculation linking the club with Real Madrd's Sergio Ramos is wide of the mark.
With Ramos in negotiations over an improved contract at the Bernabeu, reports in Spain suggested that the Bundesliga champions were monitoring the situation.
But Sammer said Bayern would not have room for Ramos in their ranks, with Mundo Deportivo quoting him as saying: "If the rumours from Spain were true, then this club would consist of four teams.
"Ramos has a long contract [until the summer of 2017] and is a piece of the club, so what is said about him and us is pure speculation."
