VALENCIA, Spain -- Alvaro Negredo has made Valencia's squad for the first time since breaking a foot before his move from Manchester City.
The Spanish striker can make his debut for Valencia against regional rivals Elche at Mestalla Stadium on Saturday.
The 29-year-old helped City win the English Premier League last season, his only season with the club.
The former Sevilla star has been sidelined since breaking his right foot in a preseason game with City in July.
Valencia took Negredo on a one-year loan that includes an obligatory purchase clause just before the close of the summer transfer window.
Valencia are fourth in the Spanish league.
