Pique: 'Jealousy' behind Barca cases

Gerard Pique has suggested that the legal issues surrounding Lionel Messi and Neymar have been motivated by jealousy in Madrid at Barcelona's success.

Neymar shows his frustration against Athletic Bilbao.
Neymar's move to Barcelona is being investigated.

Judges in Spain are investigating whether 'Leo Messi and Friends' exhibition games played last summer were used to launder Colombian drug money.

They are also looking at whether best practice was followed in the complex transfer of attacker Neymar from Santos last summer.

The cases have been widely reported in the Madrid media, with Barca defender Pique saying some amounted to "attacks" on the club -- echoing remarks made by Cesc Fabregas.

"They attack us from everywhere," he added. "The moment comes when you have to say: 'Enough.' There are some laws, some norms and someone who is in charge, who imparts justice. Someone must impart justice for the c*** they threw at Messi."

Pique said it seemed to him that someone was trying to knock Barca down because they had won four of the last five La Liga titles.

"For Real Madrid, it is difficult to see their rival win so many things," the Catalan centre-back said. "We have been seeing that for a while. It is not on.

"Things must be accepted as they are -- sometimes someone will win, other times someone else. It goes in cycles, and this cycle is Barca's. The rivalry is historical, and something is always tried so that it goes worse for the rival."
