Betis 'have agreement with Bojan'

Spanish newspaper Sport is reporting that Real Betis have a transfer agreement in place with Barcelona forward Bojan Krkic.

Bojan had to leave Barcelona for Serie A to get first team football
Bojan, seen here in action for AC Milan, could be on his way to Andalusia

Bojan, 22, has spent the last two years in Serie A, at Roma and AC Milan. However the player, who came through the youth set-up at Barca, did not settle in Italy and could be on his way to Andalusia - where Europa League football would be on offer.

Betis president Miguel Guillen said he was “very excited” by the prospect of signing the forward, but the club are in financial difficulties and could struggle to pay Bojan’s wages unless a deal can be done with Barcelona.

According to Sport, the Spain international is on a €3 million-a-year contract. The current highest earner at Betis, striker Ruben Castro, is on less than €1 million.

Barca are keen to sell Bojan, and would not want to be left in a situation where they are paying over half his wages.

But Betis are not the only club in for him - Voetbal International reports that both PSV and Feyenoord are also monitoring the situation.
