South Africa will hand debuts to defender Lorenzo Gordinho and winger Aubrey Ngoma when they face Zambia in an international friendly at the Moruleng stadium on Tuesday night.

As expected, coach Stuart Baxter has named a completely different starting eleven from the side that won 2-0 in Nigeria in an African Nations Cup qualifier on Saturday.

Darren Keet will earn a seventh cap in goal, with Gordinho and Rivaldo Coetzee the centre-backs ahead of him, with a combined age of 43 making them the youngest centre-back pairing in national team history.

Abbubaker Mobara will take on the right-back role, with Sifiso Hlanti earning a third cap in the left-back position.

There will be a three-man midfield ahead of them with Andile Jali returning to the side as the most experienced player in the line-up, and Tiyani Mabunda alongside him in what looks a 4-2-3-1 formation.

The attacking trio ahead of them are made up of Percy Tau, Lebogang Manyama and Aubrey Ngoma, with Kermit Erasmus adding pace up front.

Players who will hope to get a run off the bench are midfielder Lebogang Phiri and striker Thamsanqa Gabuza, who did not feature against Nigeria.
