Julian Draxler is not leaving Wolfsburg in the summer - Dieter Hecking

Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking has said midfielder Julian Draxler will not be leaving the Bundesliga club in the transfer window.

After losing centre-back Naldo to Schalke on a free transfer and selling Andre Schurrle to Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg do not want any more players to depart.

Draxler, Luiz Gustavo and Ricardo Rodriguez have all been linked with moves during the summer.

But Hecking told German football magazine kicker: "We won't comment on every rumour, but we explicitly decreed that Julian will stay with us."

Wolfsburg have suffered injury problems, with French midfielder Josuha Guilavogui having suffered a broken cervical vertebrae.

The midfielder, who joined Wolfsburg permanently from Atletico Madrid in May after a loan spell, told the club's official website: "It was just an unlucky situation. Now I hope the healing process goes positively and that I recover as quickly as possible."

Fellow midfielder Gustavo is also unavailable for first-team training after a dental operation.

But Die Wolfe are set to add a new face to their squad, with Jakub Blaszczykowski reportedly close to joining from Dortmund for €5m.
