Man United's Chicharito: Only God knows if I will make Real Madrid move

Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez admits that "only God knows" if he will make a permanent move from Manchester United to Real Madrid this summer.

Chicharito, 26, has struggled for a starting spot under Carlo Ancelotti this season after joining Los Blancos on loan from Old Trafford last summer, but an injury to Karim Benzema has allowed him a regular role of late.

The Mexico international has taken his chance as a last-minute strike against rivals Atletico Madrid sent Real through to the Champions League semifinals last week, while he was praised by Ancelotti after scoring a brace in Sunday's 4-2 win at Celta Vigo.

Asked by reporters whether his goals could help seal a permanent move to the Bernabeu, Chicharito responded: "More than anything else they've served to give me confidence. I love playing football -- it's what makes me feel good.

"Only God knows where I will be this time next year. For moment, my only plan is to continue enjoying this moment and helping the best team in the world.

"As I have said before, I've been through a tough time and now it's my turn to enjoy the moment. There's nothing better than being out there on the pitch, I want to enjoy it and give my best for the team.

"What I have learned is that succeeding is down to me and I have to continue working hard. There will always be bad days and good days, but if you give your all then you'll increase your chances of things turning out."

Chicharito -- who has four goals in his last three games after scoring the same number in his previous 22 appearances for Real -- thanked those who stood by him while he was on the sidelines, saying: "I'm happy but I'm happier for my family and loved ones more than for myself.

"For the people who have always had faith in me and told me that my time would come eventually. We're in the Champions League semifinals and in the battle for the league."

Ancelotti said after Sunday's win that Chicharito's form could see him become a "non-negotiable" starter for Real, but the player himself was coy on his chances of keeping Benzema out of the Italian's coach's XI.

He added: "Those decisions are for the coach, not me; right now I am just enjoying myself. I'm getting opportunities now and I have to make the most of them."
