Marquinhos has revealed he will discuss his future with Paris Saint-Germain following the impending arrival of David Luiz with Barcelona reportedly interested in the defender.

When he arrived in an estimated 30 million euro deal last summer, Marquinhos, 20, was billed as a long-term investment with the potential to take over from Thiago Silva, 29, at the heart of the PSG defence.
However, the Brazil international was unable to dislodge Alex, 31, as Laurent Blanc's preferred partner for Silva last season, and with Luiz's imminent arrival on a five-year contract at the Parc des Princes, Marquinhos is considering his options.
"I want to say, first of all, David is a friend," the former Roma defender, who made 21 league appearances to Alex's 31 during the 2013-14 campaign, told Le Parisien. "He's a great guy and a super player. What is more, I think he has made the right choice in signing for PSG. However, when you see players like David Luiz arrive, it looks like being even more difficult for me. But I feel good in my head and I'm going to work even harder.
"We'll see. I don't know. Anyway, we're going to speak to the club and my agent regarding my future, because the coming year is a very important season for me."
Catalan newspaper Sport believes Marquinhos would cost Barca around 40 million euros and the player added: "If Barca are interested in me, of course that pleases me. It's flattering, because Barcelona is a club that has won every competition in the world."
The French champions may be tempted to cash in on Marquinhos given Alex, who is out of contract next month, is keen to stay in Paris for family reasons, and would provide first-rate, experienced cover for Silva and Luiz.
Furthermore, Luiz's arrival, in exchange for an estimated 50 million euros, means PSG need to reduce their squad and wage bill before they can consider adding further significant summer signings as a consequence of measures imposed upon them by UEFA in light of the French club's transgression of financial fair play boundaries.
