LAFC sign goalkeeper Pablo Sisniega from La Liga club Real Sociedad

Los Angeles FC have announced the signing of Mexican goalkeeper Pablo Sisniega from Spanish side Real Sociedad.

Sisniega, 23, played 38 times for Real Sociedad's development team in the Spanish third division and registered 14 clean sheets following his debut in 2014.

LAFC general manager John Thorrington said Sisniega will bring "valuable experience" from his time in Spain and will add depth and competition to the squad.

"Pablo is a young and exciting goalkeeper with a bright future ahead of him," Thorrington added.

Sisniega, who is 6 feet, 3 inches tall, will not take up an international slot of LAFC's roster as he holds U.S. citizenship. Sisniega spent time training with Philadelphia Union, as well as Mexican side C.D. Guadalajara, before moving to Spain.

He will become LAFC's second goalkeeper in the squad, joining former U.S. youth international Tyler Miller -- who is expected to start LAFC's MLS opener against Sporting KC on March 3.
