West Ham's Javier Hernandez not on market - sporting director

West Ham forward Javier Hernandez is "not on the market at all," the club's sporting director Mario Husillos has said.

Mexico international Hernandez, who joined the London club from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, has been linked with a move away after struggling for a regular starting pace last season.

But Husillos told Marca Claro the former Manchester United player could flourish under manager Manuel Pellegrini and was not available for transfer.

"Offers? There surely won't be any because people know we have him. For the moment, he's not on the market at all," he said.

"His [Pellegrini's] style favours attacking players, because it is to maintain possession, attack, reach the area and create opportunities. The forwards in general are benefited by this type of play."

Earlier this year, sources told ESPN FC Hernandez was ready to leave West Ham with his representatives looking at prospective new clubs.

The sources said West Ham could be open to offers as long as they were able to recoup most of the £16 million they paid for "Chicharito."
