Netherlands international Wesley Sneijder signs with Al-Gharafa in Qatar

Wesley Sneijder has signed an 18-month contract with Qatari club Al-Gharafa after having most recently played for Nice in Ligue 1.

Sneijder, 33, has played for Inter Milan and Real Madrid over the course of his career, winning the Champions League with the former in 2010.

Before playing for Nice, Sneijder made 124 appearances and scored 35 goals in the league for Galatasaray during his four-year stint with the Turkish side.

Sneijder, who joined Nice on a free transfer after parting ways by mutual consent with Galatasaray, is also the most-capped player in Netherlands history

Al-Gharafa -- in 7th place in Qatar's Stars League at the halfway point of the season -- will officially unveil Sneijder on Monday, Jan. 8 and is expected to make his club debut against Al Ahli on Jan. 12.
