Torino sign AC Milan's M'Baye Niang on initial season-long loan

Torino have completed the signing of M'Baye Niang from AC Milan on a season-long loan with an obligation to make the move permanent in 2018 for a reported fee of €20 million.

The club announced the arrival of the 22-year-old, who had also been linked with Everton and Fenerbahce, on their official website.

"I'm pleased to be a Torino player," Niang said. "What I had hoped for has come true, and I would like to thank everybody for this.

"I really wanted to come here because I feel everybody's faith, and this is very important.

"And it's not a secret that I have an excellent relationship with [his former Milan coach Sinisa] Mihajlovic. I expect to do well in the league and in the Coppa Italia. The objective is to go as high as possible with this shirt."

Niang played 67 times for Milan, scoring eight goals and spent the second half of last season on loan at Watford, where he scored twice in 16 games.
