Dortmund boss relaxed as Barcelona linked with Ousmane Dembele

Borussia Dortmund boss Peter Bosz says he is not worried by rumours Barcelona will make a huge bid for Ousmane Dembele following the departure of Neymar.

Barca are expected to bring in another forward following Neymar's €222 million move to Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday and have been linked with players including Dembele, Philippe Coutinho, Kylian Mbappe and Paulo Dybala.

Dembele, 20, was linked with Barca earlier in the summer and Mundo Deportivo has reported that sporting director Robert Fernandez has now made him a priority, but Bosz said he was relaxed about the speculation.

"You just don't know about the knock-on effect [of Neymar's departure] and that's not an issue right now," Bosz said at a news conference ahead of Dortmund's Super Cup match against Bayern Munich.

"If I were to dwell on everything that might happen then I'd sleep badly at night. A lot can happen all of the time."

German tabloid Bild claimed that Dortmund would be selling Dembele -- a €15m signing from Rennes last summer -- if they were to receive a bid in excess of €100m.

Bosz said there would be speculation about huge deals until the transfer window closes.

"It's not over just now," he said. "We all talked about Paul Pogba's €100m [move to Manchester United] last year. Neymar's in the news now, but it will all continue until the end of August. Mbappe will most likely switch clubs and also cost a lot of money."

For now, Bosz's focus remains on Saturday's meeting with Bayern. Neither side have enjoyed a good preseason, but the former Ajax boss said he is looking forward to his first match at the Westfalenstadion.

"I don't think Bayern will finish last or that we'll finish second to last," Bosz said. "But the fact that both sides are not where we expect them to be is also clear.

"I am looking forward to the match. I am looking forward to the 'yellow wall.' The fact that it is a match against Bayern Munich makes it all the more interesting."

Elsewhere, Dortmund announced they have extended their partnership with Opel until 2022. The new contract, reported by kicker to be worth around €50m, will also see the car manufacturer advertise on BVB's sleeve badge.
