Huddersfield confirm signing of Ince from Derby, Williams from Reading

Tom Ince has signed a three-year deal at Huddersfield.

Huddersfield Town have signed Derby County attacker Tom Ince and Reading defensive midfielder Danny Williams as they continue their preparations for the Premier League.

Ince, 25, has signed a three-year contract with an option to extend by a further year and joins from the Championship side for an undisclosed fee.

The son of former England international Paul Ince, Tom began his career at Liverpool but came to prominence at Blackpool before joining Hull and then Derby.

Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner told the club's official website: "Everybody in England knows that Tom has high quality. He has been one of the best players in the Championship for many years now.

"He scores goals, creates them for others and is always a threat when he's on the pitch, so I'm very happy to welcome him to the club today.

"I have spoken to Tom and he has a massive desire to come to Huddersfield Town and play in the Premier League.

"He has had a taste of the division and is desperate to show everyone that he belongs. I think he can be a big player for us."

United States international Williams, 28, inked a two-year deal with the Terriers on a free transfer after his contract with Reading expired at the end of the season.

Wagner said: "It is not usual that a player of Danny's ability is available on a free transfer, so there was understandably a lot of interest from clubs.

"When we spoke, it was clear that he wants to prove himself at the highest level in England and that he had a real desire to come and play for Huddersfield Town. He is a terrific character and will totally fit in with our group.

"Together with our existing players and the arrival of Aaron Mooy, Danny offers us really good competition for places in central midfield."
