AC Milan, Inter Milan interested in Liverpool's Alberto Moreno - sources

Liverpool have been fielding enquiries from AC Milan and Inter Milan for out-of-favour defender Alberto Moreno, sources have told ESPN FC.

The left-back looks set to leave Anfield in the summer, having lost his place in the team to James Milner this season.

Despite his lack of regular action recently, sources say Liverpool are looking to recoup all, if not more, of the £12 million they paid Sevilla in August 2014 for Moreno from any potential sale.

Both Milan outfits have made direct contact with Liverpool regarding the 24-year-old's availability, while there may also be interest from La Liga.

Sevilla president Jose Castro, meanwhile, played down reports suggesting Moreno could rejoin the current Europa League champions.

"It's information that has come out that doesn't have any truth. I am not aware of that," Castro said.

Moreno has made just two starts in the Premier League this season, finding himself behind makeshift left-back Milner in the pecking order.

He has made 15 appearances -- seven of which have been from the substitutes' bench -- throughout the 2016-17 campaign.
