Cyle Larin transfer reports 'interesting' - Orlando City boss Jason Kreis

Reports of European clubs' interest in Cyle Larin are "interesting," Orlando City coach Jason Kreis says, though he warned there have been no formal offers for the striker.

Larin, 21, has been linked to a possible move overseas, with Everton of the Premier League the latest rumored to be interested.

Kreis acknowledged the rumors this week but cautioned that no move was imminent.

"From my point of view it is interesting," Kreis told reporters. "I have the inside information, which tells you that it is clearly just speculation. There has been nobody who's come to us with any offers, there's been nothing formal, and so for us it is clearly just that, a lot of talk."

Celtic and Anderlecht have also been reported as interested in obtaining the Canada international, who scored 14 goals for Orlando last season.

But rather than being worried about possible distractions, Kreis said the extra attention could be a positive for Larin.

"For Cyle, I would say it's a good thing," Kreis said. "He is playing well, he's been noticed for it, and people are paying attention. I think that is a great thing, not just for Cyle but for everyone involved with [MLS].

"If he keeps doing well I would say, yes, I think the opportunity will be there. But, at the end of the day, it has to be the right thing for everybody involved, and everybody involved includes Orlando City."
