Roma defender Antonio Rudiger's representatives deny PSG talk

Roma defender Antonio Rudiger's representatives have played down talk of a January move to Paris Saint-Germain in exchange for winger Jese Rodriguez.

Numerous Italian reports, including Calciomercato, suggested the French champions were interested in the Germany international and were preparing to sanction a swap deal in order to boost Unai Emery's defensive options.

However, Rudiger's representatives, FSB -- Spielerberatung GMBH, have told Canal Supporters there is no truth in the story.

"We refute this speculation," the group said. "The player currently feels very good at his current club and no transfer is planned for now."

Rudiger, 23, moved to Stadio Olimpico in the summer of 2015 and has had injury issues since moving to Italy but has started to work his way back into Roma's starting XI of late.

Roma boss Luciano Spalletti has plenty of depth in defence and was reportedly willing to let go of one of his players in that position to bring in another attacking option.

However, Rudiger's versatility -- he can also play at right-back and in defensive midfield -- is of great value to the Italian side, so Les Parisiens will have to look at other options.

Meanwhile, RMC Sport reports that PSG have made an €11 million offer for River Plate's Lucas Alario and that director of football Patrick Kluivert is also looking into the possibility of signing Wolfsburg's Ricardo Rodriguez.
