Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud will not be leaving in January - agent

Olivier Giroud will see out the season at Arsenal before deciding where his future lies, his agent has told footmercato.net.

France international Giroud has found himself confined to a bit-part role with Alexis Sanchez in sizzling form.

The former Montpellier striker was again on the bench for Tuesday's Champions League win in Basel, coming on for the last 20 minutes of his team's 4-1 victory.

Giroud has yet to start a Premier League game this season, but despite being linked to Juventus he intends to battle for his place at the Emirates Stadium for now.

However, Giroud -- whose contract is up in 2018 -- intends to battle for his place at the Emirates Stadium despite being linked with a move to Juventus.

"I have never entered into contact with Italian clubs," the 30-year-old's representative, Michael Manuello, said before the Basel game.

"Olivier feels really good at Arsenal. He's going to finish the season here. Nothing is possible in January for Olivier.

"He has no intention of moving during the winter transfer window."
