Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana not interested in Paris Saint-Germain move

Liverpool's Adam Lallana has played down recent speculation linking him with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the England international emphasised that manager Jurgen Klopp has played a significant role in turning his Liverpool career around after a slow start, and that "the thought of leaving Liverpool has never entered my mind."

He added: "I love it here at the minute, especially since the manager has come in. We have each other's trust and you do not always get that at clubs."

PSG's midfield will need to be rebuilt at the end of the season with Thiago Motta expected to leave at the end of his contract and Marco Verratti struggling to get back to his best following a groin problem.

Unai Emery's men are particularly short in terms of creative midfielders, with Javier Pastore injury prone, Hatem Ben Arfa yet to truly convince and Rosario Central's Giovani Lo Celso not due to link up with his new teammates until the winter break.

The Ligue 1 giants have been linked with a £50 million bid for Lallana, and although the former Southampton man is flattered by the reported interest from the French champions, he emphasised he is "absolutely loving" his football under Klopp.

"It is a great compliment to be spoken of in the same breath as a club like PSG with those sorts of numbers," the 28-year-old said. "I am absolutely loving my football at the minute under this boss and I can only see myself being here for the long term."

Lallana has been an influential figure for Liverpool so far this season, scoring three goals and laying on five more in 10 Premier League appearances to help the club to third in the table.

He made his comeback from a three-week injury layoff as a substitute in Sunday's 4-3 defeat at Bournemouth.
