Hector Bellerin agrees six-year Arsenal contract amid Barcelona talk - sources

Hector Bellerin has agreed a lucrative new six-year deal at Arsenal to end speculation over his future, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.

Arsenal were keen to secure Bellerin on a new long-term deal to ward off potential interest from the likes of Manchester City and Barcelona.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is reported to have identified Bellerin as a top target as he looks to bring in a new right-back next summer, while Barcelona vice-president Jordi Mestre recently expressed his admiration for the defender.

Sources close to the player have told ESPN FC that Bellerin will more than double his wages to £95,000 a week to bring him in line with some of Arsenal's top earners and the new deal will keep him at the Emirates until 2022.

Bellerin joined Arsenal from Barcelona as a 16-year-old in 2011 and in the last two years he has established himself as Arsenal's first-choice right-back and has broken into the Spanish national team.
