Julian Draxler focused on playing for Wolfsburg, will ignore speculation

Julian Draxler says he expects to be linked with a move away from Wolfsburg in January, but is fully committed to playing for the club until next summer.

Draxler, 23, had hoped to leave Wolfsburg following Euro 2016 amid talk of interest from Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, but was told to remain at the club by sporting executive Klaus Allofs.

But with the Bundesliga season now in full swing, the Germany international says he is only concentrating on his football with Die Wolfe.

"There will probably be rumours again in January," Draxler told kicker. "But I won't be the one to start them.

"We are now playing the season. I am aware the club have a taken a clear position, and that's why I play towards the summer and I am fully focused."

Draxler has started all five Bundesliga matches so far this season for Wolfsburg, with his side managing just one victory in that time.
