Mino Raiola expects £200 million transfer 'within three or four years'

Football agent Mino Raiola has said clubs will break the £200 million barrier on a transfer fee "within three or four years."

Raiola masterminded Paul Pogba's world-record £89m switch to Manchester United this summer, as well as high-priced moves to Old Trafford for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Premier League clubs spent a record £1.165 billion on transfer fees during the summer window, and Raiola said he expected that upward trend to continue.

"How the economy is evolving, especially in the Premier League, we will not be far away -- within three or four years -- from a £200m deal," he told TalkSPORT.

"They will probably be Brazilian, because they add something special. A wonder child like the new Neymar or the new Messi for sure will make £200m.

"I even think that maybe within two or three years that can happen."

Raiola also said the Pogba deal had been a long time coming and was in the works well before Jose Mourinho took over as United manager.

"Pogba was a deal that we were working on already for a year -- maybe longer," he explained.

"It was a complex deal as it involves a lot of parties and involves a lot of high stakes rights and it is difficult to get them all aligned.

"I work for the player, that is always very clear, so try to do what is in the interests of the player, what is his wishes, and I try to keep that always in mind."
