Ruben Vezo sent on season-long loan to Granada from Valencia

Granada have signed defender Ruben Vezo on a season-long loan from Valencia.

The 22-year-old Portuguese joined Valencia from Vitoria Setubal in January 2014 at the age of 19 and has made 41 appearances for the club, but was expected to find chances hard to come by this season.

A statement on Valencia's official website said: "Valencia football club has reached an agreement on Wednesday with Granada football club for the Portuguese defender Ruben Vezo to play on loan at the Andalusian club until the end of the season.

"Valencia wants to wish the best of luck to the player in this new stage of his career.''

Granada's busy evening continued with the capture of Morocco midfielder Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez. The 27-year-old has signed a four-year deal after joining from Benfica.
