West Brom sign Cameroon defender Allan Nyom from Watford

West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of defender Allan Nyom from Watford.

Cameroon international Nyom, 28, joined Watford from Udinese last summer but has now moved to Premier League rivals West Brom for an undisclosed fee.

Nyom told West Brom's official website: "I received a call from my agent last night and he told me about the offer to come here and I was happy to do so.

"Last year was my first in England. I was so happy to play in the Premier League as I think it is one of the best leagues in the world. I enjoyed it a lot.

"The Premier League is completely different to other leagues because here there is more intensity, more fight... the atmosphere in England is better than Spain.

"The team here is good and with good players, a team that plays together. I'm going to try to bring energy and to give my best every game. I want to help the team."

Meanwhile, Alex Jakubiak has signed a four-year contract with Watford before agreeing a season-long loan with Fleetwood.

The 20-year-old has moved to the League One side but could be recalled in January.

A story on Watford's official website read: "The Hornets are pleased to confirm young striker Alex Jakubiak has signed a new four-year deal to extend his stay at Vicarage Road.

"And now the 20-year-old will further his development on loan at League One Fleetwood Town."

Jakubiak has had previous loan spells at Oxford, Dagenham & Redbridge and Braintree.
