Malaga president wants to bring Real Madrid midfielder Isco back home

Real Madrid midfielder Isco could leave the club on loan, with Malaga president Abdullah Al Thani hinting at his return to the Andalusian club.

Isco, 24, will only leave the Bernabeu on transfer deadline day if he is sent out on loan to either Tottenham or his former club Malaga, according to reports in Spain.

The Spain international faces the prospect of very limited playing time if he decides to stay at Madrid with Colombia midfielder James Rodriguez staying and Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez and Mateo Kovacic also ahead of him in the pecking order.

According to AS, Isco has spoken to Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino about a possible switch to London, but his former club Malaga have also shown an interest with Al Thani tweeting on Tuesday evening: "My son Isco, someday you will be in Malaga FC I'm sure about that."

Isco left Malaga in the summer of 2013 after two strong seasons with the club to join Real Madrid for around €30 million.

The midfielder made 30 starts in all competitions for Madrid last season, scoring five goals and setting up 10 more, has played 83 minutes in Real's opening three games so far in 2016-17 and is under contract until June 2018.
