Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom is set for a surprise loan move to Red Bull Salzburg, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC.
Wisdom, who broke into the Liverpool team in 2012, is well down the pecking order at Anfield and has yet to feature for the Reds this season.
The 23-year-old has spent the past three years on loan at Derby County, West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City after finding his first-team opportunities limited at Anfield.
Scottish giants Celtic have been linked with a move for Wisdom, but it appears they have switched targets after agreeing a deal for West Bromwich Albion right-back Cristian Gamboa.
Red Bull Salzburg have been alerted to Wisdom's availability at Liverpool and they are hoping to take the former England Under-21 international on a season-long loan.
