FC Porto have tied Portugal under-21 international Andre Silva to a new five-year contract.
The Portuguese club have also announced that the deal includes a release clause of €60 million, raising it from the previous level of €25m from the last contract signed two years ago.
Silva, 20, made his first-team debut for the club in December against Maritimo in a Taca da Liga tie, but really came to prominence towards the end of the campaign.
The forward netted his first goal for the club in the 4-0 win over Boavista on the last day of last season, and then scored both goals in the 2-2 draw with Braga in the final of the Taca de Portugal -- though Porto lost 4-2 on penalties.
He has started this campaign in sparkling form with goals in both league games against Rio Ave last week and Estoril on Saturday, while he also scored their goal in the 1-1 Champions League playoff draw at home to Roma on Wednesday.
Silva scored the only goal of the game against Estoril, and was named man of the match. After the game, Porto coach Nuno Espirito Santo said: "Andre Silva is another player in the team, he's young, he's growing, and he is important to us, as is everyone else."
He made his debut for Portugal's U21 side last season, scoring a hat trick in 19 minutes.
