Duke's Jeremy Ebobisse signs MLS contract, headed to SuperDraft

Duke University forward Jeremy Ebobisse has signed a contract with Major League Soccer, MLS Soccer confirmed on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old will forgo his NCAA eligibility this fall and will be a candidate for selection in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft.

Ebobisse scored nine goals and made seven assists in his two seasons at Duke. Before signing his MLS deal, he had a trial with French Ligue 2 side Le Havre, which is currently coached by former U.S. manager Bob Bradley

Ebobisse played with Arsenal attacker Gedion Zelalem in Maryland's Bethesda-Olney Soccer Club academy, where he is from.

He is not eligible for a Homegrown deal with any MLS team and will train with either D.C. United or United's USL affiliate, Richmond Kickers, ahead of the January draft.
