Besiktas have completed the signing of Adriano Correia from Barcelona for an initial €600,000, but defender Jeremy Mathieu says he turned down an offer to leave the Camp Nou and join the Turkish club.
Barcelona said the transfer fee for Adriano, 31, will rise by €1.7 million if Bestikas qualify for the Champions League within the duration of his contract. He was previously reported to have agreed a three-year deal.
The Turkish club confirmed at the weekend that negotiations to sign the Brazilian full-back were underway and he has now completed the move.

Adriano, who had one year remaining on his contract at the Camp Nou, joined Barca from Sevilla in 2010 and won 16 trophies during his time with the club, including four La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues.

Adriano started only four La Liga games last season, with a further four substitute appearances.
Mathieu said that he also had an offer from Besiktas, but chose to stay with Barcelona.
"They contacted me a few weeks ago, but I told the president as well as Robert [Barcelona sporting director Fernandez] that I didn't want to leave Barca," the France international told AS.
He said that he doesn't feel uncomfortable despite the arrival of new defenders and France teammates Lucas Digne and Samuel Umtiti, who will be in direct competition with him.
Digne, 22, recently completed a €16.5 million move from Paris Saint-Germain while Umtiti made a €25m switch from Lyon.
"Players are coming at my position, but it doesn't matter to me," he said. "Last year I had [Javier] Mascherano and [Thomas] Vermaelen. I do my job and what is asked of me. And last year I played all I wanted. I will try to help them in any way I can, but each player has to compete for his spot on the team."
The 32-year-old said his goals are the same as always, to help Barcelona win titles and said he would encourage his new teammates to adopt the same work ethic.
"[Umtiti] is a teammate and a friend, but anyone who plays here must do what is best for the team -- that is all that matters," he said. "He played very well [for France], so much so that he won the spot from [Adil] Rumi [after Rumi was sent off]."
Finally, Mathieu said he would play wherever Luis Enrique felt he was needed.
"The manager knows that I like to play at centre-back but I can adapt to anything that is needed," he said. "
